The peace silk yarn originates in India where it is spun and woven, respecting the regulations of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) which enforces strict social and environmental standards, treating their employees, product, and the Earth with deep respect. Peace silk means that our silk is produced without harming or killing the silk worms. Additionally, our supplier is FairTrade certified, which helps lift farmers and workers out of poverty, gives children an education and ensures farmers and workers have a better life. The fabric hasn’t been dyed, the off-white shade is the raw silk fiber color.
Our cupro is spun in Japan. It is dyed and woven in the Lake Como area of Italy. It is certified by the GRS, Global Recycled Standard. The certificate ensures that social, environmental and chemical practices are strongly regulated and have been verified throughout the production process. It guarantees the health and safety of workers and the avoidance of any form of environmental pollution.
Our main and care labels are made of organic cotton. Both the tape and the ink print are certified with the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX. This ensures that the trims do not contain or release harmful substances to your health.
Our construction thread, which is used to stitch the garment, is made of 100% silk.
